Q: What is a publicist?
A: A publicist is someone who helps you do the things that are necessary to get publicity. Publicity means articles in newspapers and magazines, interviews and stories on radio and TV, or on the Internet.
Q: What does a publicist do?
A: A publicist generally will help you identify the best news angles, which are the pieces of information that are likely to be found newsworthy, that is, worthy of coverage, by the media. The publicist will write a news release, and help you get the news release delivered to the right media. Some publicists will also do follow up and call the media to see if they can persuade them to commit to doing a story or booking an interview. I don't.
Q: What services do you specifically provide?
A: We cater to people who want to reduce the costs of conducting a publicity campaign by taking on some of the duties that are needed. I provide: a. Consultation - which focuses on strategy, publicity planning, and the actions needed to develop newsworthy information into a news release; b. Copywriting – which is the writing of the news release; and c. News release distribution – principally by either fax or email, which ever is deemed most appropriate after discussing the project with the client.
Q: Do you do any phone follow up calls?
A: Yes, we have a specially designed program where we hand select media from the custom media list we created for you and then call the top media on your list. We will work with you to identify this wish list and then put ten hours of effort into calling, calling and calling. When combined with a news release distribution, this combination of activities produces the best media response.
Q: How can a person use your services?

Book and product publicity campaigns - we can target reviewers or work with you to develop problem solving tips articles and feature stories.
Media Road Tours - Whether you stay at home and do this from your kitchen table or travel from city to city, we can couple your news releases with an integrated schedule and transmit news releases to a customized city-by-city, state-by-state, region-by-region, or industry-by-industry media list. We can let the media know in advance that you are coming and work with you and your publicist to book interviews when you arrive.
Localized National Outreach Programs - Localizing maximizes media response. We work with you to identify and tailor your news release content, create the right custom media list, and create a plan and schedule to implement a program of localized news releases to the top cities and DMA's across the country. We may also be able to database this program and execute it with templated news releases in one automated action.
